Razvan Apetrei Joins

30 January 2020

We’re pleased to welcome Razvan Apetrei, who joins us from the University of Sheffield where he has just completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. His thesis covered the use of computational fluid dynamics to predict unfavourable aerodynamic phenomena in high-speed aircraft. During his studies he was also a Guest Scientist at the German Aerospace Centre, studying the problem of poor aerodynamic simulation quality at the edge of aircraft flight.

David Fielding, Technical Manager of Norton Straw, declaimed “Razvan embodies the type of engineer we enjoy bringing into the company: incredibly talented, motivated, and keen both to learn new skills and applies those he has to solving our customers’ problems. He’s already contributing to some interesting fluid dynamics problems and we expect him to quickly become a valuable member of the team.”

Razvan seems to be enjoying it so far.

"I am always up for a challenge and this role has already thrown some at me. After many years of studying, I can finally apply my skills to solve our clients' problems."
